The Mining Industries Political Action Committee (MIPAC)
MIPAC judiciously supports candidates who recognize the challenges
faced by the mining industry. In 1999 and 2000, MIPAC contributed more than $29,000 to 32 candidates,
all but two whom will be in office in 2001. It is vitally important that
MIPAC has the needed funds to attend various candidate functions
so as to provide information to our elected representatives
on the issues effecting industry.
MIPACs support of those legislators that will play a key role on bills
affecting the mining industry shows our industries commitment
to responsible policy and politicians. It is vitally important that members of the mining industry and
their suppliers participate to the fullest extent possible.
